Hello everyone,
Thank you to all those who responded to my discussion posts these past few weeks. Whether it was via email or comments, it was very eye opening to read your thoughts and theories regarding Brooklyn. I haven't had the opportunity to read and respond to all the posts, but I will try to work through them all in the upcoming weeks.
I also apologize for my recent radio silence. I tested positive for COVID-19, and while I only suffered a mild case, it's not something I would wish on anyone. For lack of a better explanation, the virus knocked me off my butt, and when I was back to feeling 98%, most of my attention was given to work.
This past week, though, I was finally able to get back into writing. COVID unfortunately put a damper on my plans to publish Brooklyn's story before the end of 2020, but I'm still diligently working on three different cover art samples (which I will hopefully share with you in early January). Until then, please enjoy some cut chapters from Unwritten, starting with Parker Allenton's!
Originally, I wanted to include Parker's chapter in Brooklyn's book in my novella, but found I had to choose between his and Declan's story. For the sake of moving the plot along, I decided to cut Parker and keep Declan's portion of the novella. I kept Parker's chapter, though, and hoped to one day share it.
I admit, this isn't Parker's full chapter, just the opening excerpt. I plan to share the entire chapter throughout the next week and half so you can get a taste of Parker as a character and see how influential he was in Brooklyn's life.
So, without further ado: Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays my friends! I hope you enjoy Parker Allenton as much as I enjoyed writing him.
Have a great day,
K.P.
